Aspire is solid, mostly!

i've used aspire a few times now, mainly for their spend management, and it's generally been great. setting up the business account was super quick, definitely faster than when i tried with Revolut Business last year, which was a nightmare. i just wish they'd make it a little clearer where to input referral codes after you've already signed up, but that's a minor thing. still, the budgeting tools are pretty robust and it keeps me coming back.

Smooth onboarding, useful features

I opened a Multi-Currency Business Account with Aspire last month for my small e-commerce venture. The onboarding process was straightforward, took about 3 business days for verification after I submitted all the required documents. I specifically signed up for the virtual cards and the expense management features. Issuing virtual cards for my online subscriptions was quick and easy. I also used the receipt scanning tool for a few purchases, and it did a decent job of categorizing expenses, though I still had to manually adjust a couple. Cross-border payments to my suppliers in China were processed within 24 hours, which is faster than my old bank. I haven't needed customer support yet, but the interface is intuitive enough that I haven't run into any major issues. Overall, it's been a solid experience, helping me keep track of spending much better.

Pretty decent, no fuss

So I signed up for an Aspire account for my startup, mainly for the corporate cards and expense tracking. It was actually pretty easy to get it all set up, didn't feel like a huge chore. The virtual cards came in handy immediately for different online subscriptions. I also used a physical card for some office supplies. Everything just worked, you know? No weird charges or anything unexpected. Made managing company spending a lot less of a headache. I'm happy with it.

Good for basics, some minor hiccups

I got the Multi-Currency Business Account and a physical corporate card. Account setup was mostly smooth, but it took a bit longer than I expected, maybe 5 days total to get fully approved. The corporate card arrived pretty fast, about a week. I like the real-time transaction monitoring; it's handy. I tried the Xero integration, and it worked, but I had to re-authenticate it once after a software update, which was a small annoyance. Fees for local transfers are competitive, which is a big plus. Overall, it's a good banking solution for a small business, just wish the initial setup was a touch faster and the integrations were a bit more robust.

Consistent service, keeps me coming back

This is my third year using Aspire for my business. I started with just the multi-currency account and now I'm using their expense management and some of the invoicing software too. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Every time I've needed a new virtual card or made a cross-border payment, the process has been just as smooth and reliable as the first time. Their customer support has always been responsive when I've had a question about a new feature, which is a big reason why I stick with them instead of looking at other options like Wise Business. They keep improving without breaking what already works well.

Good value for a startup

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for something affordable but powerful. Aspire's Multi-Currency Business Account seemed to fit the bill. I liked that the corporate card was free. I also got a cash bonus when I activated the account, which was a nice little extra. The foreign exchange rates for my international suppliers felt reasonable compared to what I'd looked at. The real-time transaction monitoring helps me keep my budget in check. Overall, it felt like a good decision for my money, especially starting out. It's definitely worth the initial effort to set it all up.

thinking about using aspire for my startup, but how safe are the funds? is it a real bank or just some tech thing?

C Colin Ito 2 months ago
They are a licensed financial institution, not like a full bank everywhere, but they are regulated. Your funds are generally safeguarded, which means they can't just run off with it. It's pretty standard for neobanks.

It's safe enough for business funds. They're not a 'bank' in the traditional sense like Chase or something, but they're regulated in Singapore and have security protocols in place. I've been using them for a year with no issues.

Does anyone know if Aspire integrates well with QuickBooks? Trying to avoid a huge headache with accounting.

A Amber M. 1 month ago
Yep, it integrates with QuickBooks, Xero, and NetSuite. Setting it up was pretty straightforward for me with Xero, I imagine QuickBooks is similar.

They definitely have integrations for accounting software. It should connect fine with QuickBooks, that's one of their main selling points for businesses, to make expense tracking and reconciliation easier.

Hey guys, thinking about signing up for Aspire for my small biz. Any idea how long it actually takes to get the account open and everything set up? Need something quick.

A Anna Carter 2 months ago
From my experience, it's pretty fast. I think I had everything sorted within a few business days after submitting the docs. Way quicker than a traditional bank.

Yeah, if you have all your company papers ready, it's pretty seamless. The verification part is usually the longest but it's not like weeks or anything. Just make sure you upload everything they ask for right away.

Anyone know if there are any current sign-up bonuses for Aspire? Just heard about them and looking for a good deal.

D David Marsh 2 months ago
They often have referral bonuses, so if you know someone who uses it, ask them for their code. Both of you usually get something.

I got a $100 credit when I opened mine last year. It's usually a cash bonus once you activate and spend a bit on the card. Check around January or October, I hear those are good times for offers.

Is Aspire corporate card actually free? Or are there hidden fees that pop up later?

D Dana 1 month ago
The virtual and physical cards themselves are free, like no annual fees. Just watch out for some transaction fees, especially international ones, but they're usually pretty transparent about that.

AFAIK, the cards are free. They make their money elsewhere, not on card fees. Just be aware of currency conversion rates if you use it overseas a lot.
